ABOUT THESE STONES
These quartzite stones are hand-picked from the Earth, found in their natural, rough form along river beds and in forests. I find these stones myself and polish each stone in a rock tumbler for a period of weeks. After they are polished to a shine, I hand drill them, a process which takes an hour or more for each stone, depending on the thickness.
The rock tumbling process, which takes 4-6 weeks for each rock, mimics the process found in nature, where stones are slowly smoothed and shined over hundreds of years by the movement of water and sand.
DID YOU KNOW?
Quartzite is crystal (quartz) mixed with other chemicals which give the rock its rich color and variation in appearance! Quartzite can be clear, white, pink, red, yellow, green, brown, etc...
Since these stones are found in nature, no two are exactly alike. As a result, there will be slight variations in color, weight, and size, including lines and inclusions which form naturally in the rocks over hundreds of years.
